Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) North Australia (The Charity) is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
You agree you are responsible for providing adequate supervision of any children involved in your fundraising activity.
You agree to obtaining parental permission for participation of any person involved in your fundraising activity under the age of 18, including the collection of any images.
RMHC North Australia is a Registered Charity with the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission.
You agree that it is your responsibility to comply with all legal requirements relating to your fundraising activity as well as any conditions required by RMHC North Australia. If you do not comply, The Charity may withdraw your Authority to Fundraise and require you to immediately cease fundraising and discontinue any use of the RMHC North Australia name and logo.
You agree that your participation in any fundraising activity is voluntary and that you will conduct yourself in a manner that does not harm or diminish RMHC North Australia’s reputation in the community. This includes ensuring that you do not share information that is abusive, harassing, obscene, defamatory or is otherwise offensive, impersonate any person or entity associated with The Charity or collect or store personal data of a personal nature.
You agree that The Charity does not grant you authority to manufacture, sell or licence merchandise bearing the Charity logo.
You agree that if necessary, you are responsible for obtaining any relevant permits and/or licences for the purposes of the fundraising activity.
You agree that any collection tins or boxes used in fundraising will be sealed, consecutively numbered and clearly marked to state that the money is being collected under the authority of The Charity.
You agree to ensure that fundraising activities align with RMHC North Australia’s health messages and values. This includes in relation to tobacco, and alcohol.
You agree that you are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance (including public liability insurance) with respect of the fundraising activity. Third party fundraisers are not covered by RMHC North Australia insurance.
RMHC North Australia complies with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). You agree that any information gathered in relation to the fundraising activity will be used by The Charity for our charitable purposes only. You must obtain permission to collect such information and provide it to The Charity within 10 days of collection. You agree that RMHC North Australia is unable to assist in soliciting prizes, organising publicity, or providing goods and services unless agreed to in writing prior to the Authority to Fundraise being issued.
You agree that if you solicit donations of goods or services for your authorised fundraising activity, these items will only be used for the activity intended. If the donations cannot be utilised for the activity, the goods or services will be donated to RMHC North Australia.
You agree that your fundraising activity does not involve telemarketing or door-to-door solicitation. Neither of these forms of fundraising are authorised by RMHC North Australia.
You agree to keep records of your fundraising income, and provide The Charity with those records within 10 days of the fundraising activity.
If your fundraising activity involves a cash component, you agree that all cash collected during the fundraising activity will be deposited into the Charity bank account at the earliest opportunity, but no less than within 10 days of collection. Once funds raised have been received, RMHC North Australia will issue any receipts.
You agree that all cash collected will be counted by a minimum of 2 people and accurately recorded in a secure place immediately after the fundraising activity
You agree that proceeds of fundraising activities will not be used for any other purpose than stated in your Authority to Fundraise application.
If a donor donates $2 or more, directly to your online fundraising page they will immediately receive a tax-deductible receipt.
Tax-deductible donation receipts for cash donations made over $2 can only be made after the appropriate records have been received by RMHC North Australia and Australian Taxation Office criteria have been met. For your information, the following are not tax-deductible gifts:
ticket purchases (raffle or event tickets)
auction purchases or purchases of merchandise
donations of goods or services

You agree that all media materials that reference RMHC North Australia must be approved by RMHC North Australia prior to circulation.
You agree to adhere to all public health rules and regulations notified to you by any local, state or federal Government, other regulatory body or venues.
You agree that RMHC North Australia and its respective officers, employees and agents have no liability for any costs, losses or damages of any kind, which you may incur, arising either directly or indirectly from your fundraising activity.
You agree to indemnify (and keep indemnified), release, and hold harmless RMHC North Australia and its respective officers, employees and agents (those indemnified) from and against any loss (including reasonable legal costs and expenses) or liability incurred or may be incurred by any of those indemnified, arising from any claim, demand, suit, action or proceeding by any person against any of those indemnified where such loss or liability arose out of, in connection with or in respect of any fundraising activity.
You agree to abide by all relevant Australian State and Federal Laws in relation to your fundraising activities.
You agree that this agreement is governed by the laws of the state of Queensland, Australia, and you acknowledge that you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and any court hearing appeals from those courts.
You agree that photographs, or recording of the fundraising activity can be used by for the purposes of promoting The Charity and you waive any rights you might have to object to such uses under parts IX and XIA of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
You agree that your event is not an official Charity event and that The Charity bears no responsibility for the management of, costs associated with or conduct of your fundraising event.
You acknowledge and agree that The Charity may, in its absolute discretion, withdraw your Authority to Fundraise and you must immediately cease fundraising and discontinue any use of the RMHC North Australia name and/or logo.
