A home cooked meal is all that our families want this Christmas...
Often, parents and carers of seriously ill children simply do not have the time, funds or energy to prepare a meal after an emotional day at the hospital.
Keeping families close through tough times is at the heart of what we do and by providing dinner, families can find comfort in coming home to a healthy home-cooked meal.
Our families have been hit hard during the COVID-19 crisis and we are asking YOU (Kids and adults) to take part in our new fundraising campaign – HOME FOR DINNER – cook a home cooked meal and ask your friends and family to donate to your meal to support Sick kids and families staying at RMHC Randwick House. Taking part is easy.
All you need to do is:
• Register by clicking here
• Choose a date to cook your meal (or you can host a few meals if you wish!) any time between 20 November (World Children Day) and Christmas Eve.
• Ask your friends or family joining in your dinner to make a small contribution directly to you or to your fundraising page
• Make a difference in supporting sick kids like Carlo
If you are a kid or an adult, you don’t have to be an expert chef, it all about having fun, seeing friends and family (within current restrictions of course) and making a difference!
Can’t cook? No problem, we have a number of restaurants, cafes and pubs
taking part this November and December. CLICK HERE to find one near you.

Meet Carlo
Carlo Moore looks like your average 12-year old, but as the old saying goes, never judge a book by its cover.
Beneath the surface of this charismatic and happy adolescent lies a complex and life-changing health issue that has impacted not just Carlo’s day-to-day, but that of his parents and sister Grace.
What started out as severe reflux disease at five-years old has become something much more complicated: gastroparesis. This condition means his stomach doesn’t empty and he requires tube feeding overnight.
While there is no cure for Carlo’s condition, he and his family live in hope that one day soon, things will change, allowing him to lead a life similar to that of his friends, away from hospitals, surgery and as he puts it, “away from his tubes”.
