As part of the 'Silly Sock Squad' I am running 10k to raise funds to help local sick kids and their families.
Running/walking/jogging/skipping/smiling for Ronald McDonald House Charities
#Runningforacause When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, it can have a devastating impact on families. As well as the uncertainty and fear, there’s added stress for families who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs.
I've signed up for the challenge to run in the Townsville Running Festival townsvillerunningfestival.com this August because I want to make a difference to children with serious illness and their families who stay at Ronald McDonald House Townsville.
The House relies upon community support and fundraising in order to provide accommodation and support services to hundreds of families every year.
Please make a donation to our team so that we can continue to reduce the financial burden of families who have to travel to Townsville with their children for treatment.
Keep an eye out for us on August 4th, as we wear our stripey silly socks and all things red and white in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Stripey Silly Socks can be purchased for $5 on registration day at the Ronald McDonald Tent or purchase them from the House before race day. 100 Angus Smith Dr, Douglas. Ph 4775 5600
