I'm so sorry I cant be here today to celebrate Sean's life, although I will certainly visit Sean to pay my respects and speak to him. I believe, I had known Sean well before everyone in the Mc World as a 17 year old crew person. I met Sean one day on shift at McDonalds Strand (1983-1984) he was a crew person at McDonalds Engadine back then and came to do a shift. I vividly recall during changeover after the lunchtime rush telling Sean to be careful as I had just sharpened the grill spatulas and they were very sharp, he smiled and acknowledged this. Two minutes later, his thumb was bleeding as he cut himself turning meat patties. I laughed as a 17 year old would with him holding his hand making his way to the first aid box behind the managers office next to the time clock to put a band aid on. This is a memory still in my mind of Sean which hasn't been forgotten for 37 years and I'm very grateful it has always been entrenched in my mind. I also recall when he was affiliated with McDonalds Italy. One of his offsiders spent 3 weeks with me learning the Australian operation and Sean had come to Australia. We all caught up at a restaurant in Woollahra he choose. Myself having an Italian background, I began to listen in awe, Sean is speaking to his Italian offsider in Italian! I couldn't believe this as at the time, he had spent two years there and could already speak the language. He was speaking it better than me having had a lifetime in learning. I'm so very sorry to hear of Sean's passing, it was a shock and I know Sean was always kind in asking about me since leaving McDonalds. My sympathies and condolences go out to all his family and having worked with Annette and Jenny in that era, Mark later in life, I'm so sorry. Regards Paul Vita
