Ride for Sick Kids Northern NSW
10 - 14 September 2019
In September 2019 Ronald McDonald House Ride for Sick Kids Northern NSW will see a team of dedicated riders cycle 535kms from Inverell to Newcastle with the aim to raise $200,000 to help keep families close to their seriously ill child.
While the riders will be hurting physically on the ride, it’s all for a great cause – to help keep our doors open to families when they need us the most.
Last year 771 families from Northern NSW were given a "home away from home" at our Ronald McDonald Houses in Newcastle and Tamworth so they could be near their child in hospital. Over 8,400 families took a break from their child's hospital bedside in one of our Family Rooms. 155 families were able to relax, reconnect and create precious memories together with a week's free holiday at the Family Retreat in Forster. And 149 students were able to catch up on their missed eduction through the Ronald McDonald Learning Program.
Riders will join together as a team to raise funds and awareness, as well as support each other through this challenging yet rewarding journey.
