When Poppy had to undergo treatment for cancer over a 9-month period, she could still play with her brother Percy, and sit down to a family meal each day.
Ronald McDonald House Charities help keep families together.
And now we’re asking local businesses to help us, to help kids like Poppy!
All you need to do is get involved with the Ride for Sick Kids.
Raised so far
Our challenge to you is to use your Two Wheels and decide on your Two Goals - how many kilometres you want to ride and how much money you want to raise.
Your business decides how much money you want to raise and how many kilometres you want your team to ride throughout the month of September. Riders who fundraise $500 or more get their very own Ride for Sick Kids tshirt to wear throughout the challenge.
The goals are up to you – because every dollar counts.
Why not challenge your staff to get on a bike and Ride for Sick Kids during September.
You can ride on the road, you can ride in a gym, you can ride at home, it doesn’t matter. What does matter is that you accept our challenge of Two Wheels, Two Goals and get involved. You are riding to help out those who can’t ride themselves, the sicks kids and their families who use Ronald McDonald House every day of the year.
This is a great opportunity to organise some team building activities, all in the name of charity (and fitness!)
Fun Ways for businesses to Get Involved
Your staff can head down to the local gym on their lunch break or before or after work, to jump on a spin bike and raise funds for sick kids.
Challenge your colleagues to ride, with a donation for every kilometre they ride in September.
Company Gift Matching
Double your impact and show your company’s community support by matching your staff’s fundraising for Ride for Sick Kids.
Who do YOU ride for this September? We ask all participants to use the hashtag #IRideFor to bring light to an individual's or family's story.
Below are the stories of Kingsley, Poppy and Ozzie, three brave children who have spent time with us at the Ronald McDonald Houses. Find out more about their journeys, and be sure to share them by using the hashtag!
